We are in search of a skilled Purchasing Manager to become part of a vibrant team within a leading global firm specializing in high-end machinery for critical safety markets. This position will be crucial in overseeing and enhancing the procurement team to meet the operational goals of the company, with an emphasis on global sourcing, supplier management, and strategies for cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of supplier materials.
  • Achieve and document year-on-year cost savings.
  • Promote managed inventory reduction and enhancements in working capital.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers and drive performance improvements.
  • Implement strategic purchasing initiatives that align with the company's objectives.
  • Conduct market analysis and supply chain assessments to optimize costs and enhance value.
  • Develop and negotiate supply agreements, service level agreements, and contracts.
  • Encourage continuous improvement within the supply chain and internal processes.
  • Support internal projects related to product development and the introduction of new products.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing people and processes within a fast-paced manufacturing or engineering supply chain setting.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities.
  • Technical or engineering background with a solid understanding of technical drawings, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in drafting and interpreting contract documents.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing and advanced purchasing techniques is highly desirable.
