About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Risk and IT Continuity Manager to join our team at NHS Supply Chain, a leading healthcare organization. As a key member of our Data and Technology Directorate, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with our IT systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT risk management strategies, business continuity plans, and disaster recovery procedures to minimize the impact of potential threats.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure that risk management and continuity plans are aligned with the organization's overall objectives.
  • Work with IT partners to ensure they have suitable risk, IT risk management, and business continuity processes in place.
  • Identify and assess IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats, data breaches, system failures, and other vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans for IT systems and processes.
  • Jointly work with IT Teams during major IT incidents, coordinating responses and efforts to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines related to IT risk management and business continuity.
  • Ensure that third-party providers comply with the organization's risk management and business continuity requirements.
  • Work with IT partners within a SIAM model to ensure all risks are being managed.
  • Manage and maintain functional risks within Service Now.
  • Contribute and update key principles risk in the corporate Risk tool.
  • Monitor the status of risk mitigation actions, highlighting areas where progress may be insufficient and escalating these accordingly.
