About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Audit Professional to join our UK Audit team at Capital One (Europe) plc. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering top-quality assurance services to our organisation's Audit Committee.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational and Compliance Audits: Conduct operational and compliance-related audits for the UK and Canada Credit Card business, with limited travel opportunities.
  2. Business Acumen: Gain a full understanding of the Card business, including its operations, risks, and controls.
  3. Relationship Building: Develop and nurture strong and effective working relationships with key business partners and the wider Audit group.
  4. Independence and Quality: Operate independently to ensure work is completed to schedule and meets our high-quality standards.
  5. Communication and Issue Management: Assist in communicating issues, risks, and recommendations to all levels of management.
  6. Follow-up and Learning: Proactively follow up on agreed audit actions to ensure management delivers their commitments within the agreed timescales and seek out learning opportunities to continue to grow and develop in the role.
Requirements
  1. Experience and Qualifications: Experience in internal or external auditing, risk management, accounting, financial analysis, information systems, compliance, or another related field, with a relevant qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, IIA, or equivalent) preferable.
  2. Skills and Abilities: Proven skills in assessing business risks and the ability to identify and design risk-based testing, ability to work independently, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build rapport and trust with ease.
  3. Technical Skills: Logical and rational judgement and an inquiring mind, experience in designing and executing tests using data (although coding skills are not essential).
