About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Priory Hospital Preston.

As a Deputy Ward Manager, you will provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager.

You will have a degree of clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team
  • Have a degree of clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall
  • Have defined delegated responsibilities from the ward manager, protected time for deputy ward manager duties and have supervisory responsibilities for an agreed group of staff
Requirements
  • First level Registered Nurse (RMN)
  • Clinical supervision experience is essential, training is desirable
  • Evidence of CPD and intent to maintain and develop CPD and leadership
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience in Acute Mental Health
  • At Least 3 years, or equivalent post registration experience
  • Mentorship desirable however training could be provided
