Position Summary:

As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will apply your expertise and experience as a vital member of the Electrical workshop team. Under the supervision of the Electrical chargehand, you will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and upkeep of a diverse array of electrical equipment, which may include hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical products. Your focus will be on addressing the needs of both internal and external customers. You should be eager to embrace new challenges, enhance your technical and interpersonal skills, and broaden your knowledge and experience through a variety of stimulating projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical systems in accordance with safety protocols and electrical code standards.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical equipment failures to effectively resolve issues.
  • Work collaboratively with the Electrical chargehand and other team members to implement efficient electrical solutions.
  • Keep precise records of electrical work performed, including work orders, inspections, and maintenance logs.
  • Maintain documentation of Hazardous area schedules, cable testing sheets, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies to mitigate accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Qualifications Required:
  • A High School diploma, HNC or higher (or equivalent).
  • Completion of a City & Guilds accredited training course (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical assembly, installation, and maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient understanding of testing and troubleshooting electromechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with wireline winches, masts, and related products.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
