Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Senior MPD Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and servicing all products within NOV's Managed Pressure Drilling division.

Your expertise in the repair and maintenance of valves and piping systems, including pressure testing, will be essential for your success in this position.

You will coordinate with internal teams and manage your daily, weekly, and monthly schedules effectively to uphold strong customer relationships through the support we provide.


Key Responsibilities:


Provide technical assistance for our Managed Pressure Drilling operations and all related tasks during preparation, execution, and post-well maintenance.

Conduct calibration, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, including system rig-up and rig-down activities.
Demonstrate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills with troubleshooting capabilities, including wiring knowledge.
Familiarity with feedback control loops and control fundamentals, including single-loop controllers and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Utilize multi-meters and signal generators for setting up, calibrating, and troubleshooting instrumentation.

Ability to interpret hydraulic setups and process flow diagrams.
Assist the MPD Field Service Supervisor with all wellsite tasks.
Understand the principles of drilling systems and processes.
Collaborate with controls engineers for software downloading, uploading, and troubleshooting in PLCs.
Actively engage in the knowledge management system within the segment, contributing to our culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

What You Will Bring:
HNC in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a recognized Mechanical apprenticeship.
Experience in a workshop setting.
Knowledge of valve and piping system repair and maintenance.
Preferred experience in Managed Pressure Drilling.
Familiarity with JDE is advantageous.
