About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Patient Access management team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of administrative staff to provide an efficient and effective administration service to our patients and clinicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of administrative staff to achieve performance targets and improve service delivery.
  • Develop and implement local protocols to improve patient tracking list management and appointment booking processes.
  • Collaborate with peers across the Trust to provide a consistent and effective service.
  • Ensure staff adhere to Patient Access Department standard operating procedures and highlight any issues to senior management.
  • Provide cross-cover for other Team Leaders and attend relevant meetings to ensure a smooth service delivery.
Requirements
  • Good standard of education (GCSE Maths and English or equivalent).
  • Previous experience of leadership and operational management in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent customer care skills and experience of working in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to motivate self and others and work with differing client groups.
  • Flexibility to work across multiple sites and adapt to changing service requirements.
