Senior HR Consultant / HR Generalist

This position is ideal for a seasoned Senior HR Consultant or an emerging HR Business Partner seeking a new opportunity, or for an HR Advisor, People Advisor, Employee Relations (ER) Advisor, or HR Officer with substantial operational experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, benefiting from personal development and mentorship from an experienced HR Business Partner.

St Andrew's Healthcare is a charity dedicated to providing specialized mental health services. We collaborate with various NHS, voluntary, educational, and research organizations to deliver a comprehensive range of specialized inpatient and community mental health services, education, and research aimed at enhancing the lives of individuals with complex mental health needs.

The Senior HR Consultant role is crucial in delivering proactive and informed HR support while liaising with Executives, Senior Managers, and Clinicians as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and support to key stakeholders regarding personnel challenges within their teams, adopting a pragmatic approach to their management. Manage an Employee Relations case load, ensuring proactive support and oversight. Collaborate with the HR Business Partner and Senior Management team to gather and analyze workforce planning data, identifying trends and proposing solutions to workforce planning challenges. Establish and maintain confidential relationships with key stakeholders and managers to assist in developing plans, conducting workforce planning, and partnering with the leadership team during regular operational meetings. Assist managers in effectively utilizing dashboard data, offering local extracts as needed, identifying key trends and concerns to promptly address issues and negative trends, supporting the needs of the charity. Identify performance and development needs related to managers' people management capabilities and provide targeted support, coaching, or other learning and development interventions to enhance these skills. Lead and manage the HR component in change initiatives, with support from the HR Business Partner as required. Offer HR support focused on engagement and coaching in alignment with Human Resources Policies and Procedures, best practices, and the charity's HR Strategy. Actively support business areas in developing talent management plans, including succession planning and maximizing development opportunities in collaboration with the HR Business Partner and Learning & Development team.

If you possess demonstrable operational HR experience, a strong understanding of HR best practices, the ability to work autonomously at this level, and excellent influencing and communication skills, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
