Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Specialist to join our Commercial team at the John Lewis Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional results in procurement, category management, and supply chain coordination.
About the Role:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure best-in-class terms and prices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure goods and services from suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to drive collaboration and innovation.
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform procurement decisions.
- Manage and analyze data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement, category management, or supply chain coordination.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial principles.
