Job Title: In Room Dining Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced In Room Dining Supervisor to join our team at The Savoy, a luxury hotel managed by Accor. As an In Room Dining Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the In Room Dining department, providing exceptional guest service, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the In Room Dining Team: Supervise and lead a team of In Room Dining servers, providing guidance, support, and training to maintain high levels of motivation and performance.
  • Schedule and Assign Tasks: Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Conduct Regular Team Meetings: Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, provide feedback, and foster a positive working environment.
  • Ensure Exceptional Guest Service: Ensure all guests receive exceptional service during their In Room Dining experience, exceeding their expectations and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor Guest Feedback: Monitor guest feedback and reviews related to In Room Dining, taking appropriate actions to improve service and address recurring issues.
  • Oversee Order Processing: Oversee the efficient processing of In Room Dining orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery to guest rooms.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Collaborate with the kitchen and other relevant departments to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of food and beverage orders.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Maintain and enforce high-quality standards in food presentation, service etiquette, and cleanliness of dining trays and amenities.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor Inventory Levels: Monitor inventory levels of In Room Dining supplies, such as cutlery, glassware, and amenities, and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment.
  • Develop Training Programs: Develop and implement training programs for In Room Dining staff to enhance their product knowledge, service skills, and upselling techniques.
  • Provide Coaching and Feedback: Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to help them improve their performance.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of In Room Dining orders, expenses, and other relevant data.
  • Assist in Reporting: Assist in preparing reports and providing data for management review.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as an In Room Dining server or in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
  • Strong Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team building, motivation, and performance management.
  • Sound Knowledge: Sound knowledge of food and beverage offerings, menus, and service techniques.
  • Ability to Handle Stress: Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and make quick decisions to resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficient in Computer Systems: Proficient in using computer systems and software related to In Room Dining operations.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per the hotel's operational needs.
