About the Role

Birmingham Hospice is seeking an experienced and skilled Individual Giving Manager to join our fundraising team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving strategy, aimed at generating significant income through individual gifts, campaigns, and appeals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive individual giving strategy to increase income and donor recruitment and retention.
  • Lead a dedicated team to deliver innovative and creative appeals, campaigns, and fundraising activities.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising department to meet overall fundraising objectives and contribute to the growth of individual giving as a key income stream for Birmingham Hospice.
  • Manage the Donor Acquisition Fundraiser and In-Memory Fundraiser, ensuring effective delivery of individual giving programmes and activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, fundraisers, and other teams within the hospice.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of individual giving initiatives, making recommendations for improvement and growth.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in individual giving, legacy, and fundraising, with a strong track record of success.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with donors, fundraisers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative fundraising ideas and campaigns.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and industry trends.
