About the Role

Head of Engineering | Structural Engineering | Construction

CV Library, a leading job search platform, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our technical team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving innovation and growth, while ensuring compliance with project briefs, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project-specific dimensional control strategies to achieve project key performance indicators (KPIs), while ensuring company and project quality requirements are met.
  • Proactively support the interpretation of as-built surveys and installations, ensuring they are checked prior to construction of follow-on activities.
  • Provide performance management of direct and indirect reports, offering technical and career development coaching.
  • Accountable for the technical aspects of a project, driving innovations and technical developments.
  • Collaborate towards a net zero carbon transition, identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions.
Requirements
  • Overall responsibility for the technical and structural aspects of the project, leading technical decision-making.
  • Experience in developing construction methods and sequencing.
  • Ability to check design output for clarity, completeness, and buildability.
  • Responsible for ensuring company and project quality requirements are implemented.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with project teams and external stakeholders.
Desirable Skills
  • Leading structural value engineering assessments.
  • Utilizing Building Information Modelling (BIM) to support technical project management.
  • Leading or inputting to project innovations and technical developments.
  • Developing proposals to reduce the carbon impact of projects.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering engineering roles on complex projects.
