The successful candidates will play a pivotal role in enhancing our office's engineering capabilities.

Essential Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience in civil engineering design following graduation.
  • At least five years of experience in civil infrastructure design within a rail context, ensuring compliance with Network Rail (NR) standards and Eurocodes.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in bridge design, covering Eurocode loading, element design, and detailing.
  • Proven experience in coordinating and delivering designs for rail and civil engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with structural analysis software.
  • Ability to produce design deliverables and oversee engineering teams.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in composite steel/concrete, masonry, geotechnical, and timber design in accordance with Eurocodes.
  • Proficiency in finite element software for structural analysis.
  • Designated CRE for civils on NR projects.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Mentoring abilities to guide junior engineers.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, aiming for innovative and cost-effective designs.
  • Understanding of project costs and timelines.
  • Willingness to seek guidance when encountering challenges.

Mandatory Requirement

  • Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE).
