Job Title: Chef - Bank

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK's leading healthcare providers. As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food, deliver hotel/restaurant standards, and create nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus for our residents.

About the Role:
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the needs of our residents.
  • Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes, cooked to the highest standards.
  • Create a warm, efficient, and fun environment in the kitchen, promoting a positive and productive team culture.
  • Work within budget, complete regular audits, and manage stock control to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Requirements:
  • A City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification in culinary arts.
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team, with a good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food.
  • The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home, with a good understanding of HACCP.
