About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant - Unqualified to join our team at EdEx - Education Recruitment. As an Autism Support Assistant - Unqualified, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with various Special Educational Needs in a creative and inclusive Primary School setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Collaborate with specialist teachers, therapists, and inclusion staff to create a tailored learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities and programs that stimulate learning and promote inclusivity.
  • Work closely with the inclusion team to ensure seamless support and communication with parents and carers.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A passion for working with children and young people with Autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Highly creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning, with a focus on inclusivity and diversity.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of pupils and the school.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
