Job Title: Commercial Audit Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Audit Director to join our team at Grant Thornton. As a key member of our Audit practice, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic growth of our team, business development, and ensuring that all work allocated is carried out profitably, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic growth of the team, focusing on business development and ensuring that all work allocated is carried out profitably, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality.
  • Develop and implement a robust audit strategy, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify and pursue new business opportunities, and to develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Ensure that all audit work is carried out in accordance with the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team of audit professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to ensure their success.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in a senior audit leadership role, with a strong understanding of audit principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of professionals.
  • Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Accountancy qualification and a high audit quality rating.
