Job Title: Commercial Audit Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Audit Director to join our team at Grant Thornton. As a key member of our Audit practice, you will play a critical role in driving the strategic growth of our team, business development, and ensuring that all work allocated is carried out profitably, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic growth of the team, focusing on business development and ensuring that all work allocated is carried out profitably, efficiently, and to the highest level of quality.
  • Develop and implement a robust audit strategy, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify and pursue new business opportunities, and to develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
  • Ensure that all audit work is carried out in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, and contribute to the development of their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of success in a senior audit role, with a strong understanding of audit principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong business development skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior management and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively, with a strong attention to detail.
