The Launch Excellence team is dedicated to supporting leading pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and diagnostic firms that are pioneering advancements in healthcare. Our extensive experience in launch excellence enables us to shape and execute successful product introductions.

We are committed to inspiring excellence in product launches across the industry, and we are passionate about empowering our client partners to reach and exceed their launch objectives. Our strategic offerings are centered around four core pillars: Launch Capabilities and Leadership, Launch Planning and Execution, Organizational Launch Processes, and Launch Management facilitated through our proprietary software platform, Ignite™.

Our consultancy team leverages their extensive expertise in launch excellence to assist clients in building high-performing launch teams and accelerating their initiatives from day zero through to commercialization and post-launch, ensuring a seamless and interconnected approach across functions and regions.

Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Launch Excellence Partner to join our expanding team. In this role, you will play a vital part in developing and implementing our launch excellence programs, collaborating with client teams to co-create launch project plans. You may also serve as a key member of our clients' launch teams, providing guidance, project support, and strategic counsel throughout the launch process.

As a Launch Excellence Partner, you will ensure that our clients benefit from:

  • Thoroughly developed cross-functional launch project plans established early in the planning phase.
  • Effective governance and operational frameworks for launch teams.
  • Robust processes for monitoring, managing, and communicating launch progress.

Your role will also involve fostering strong cross-functional collaboration across teams and geographies, promoting effective discussions and decision-making, and driving the continuous sharing of best practices within Lumanity and our clients.

Ultimately, your support will be crucial in helping our clients achieve timely launch readiness and success. The Launch Excellence Partner will accomplish this by:

  • Acting as a champion for launch excellence, proactively leveraging your knowledge and experience to constructively challenge launch plans and client perspectives.
  • Encouraging adherence to launch excellence frameworks, tools, and best practices in project management.
  • Assisting commercial launch leads and their teams in defining accountabilities, operational methods, and governance structures.
  • Preparing and co-facilitating initiation workshops and project planning sessions for launch teams.
  • Organizing and leading operational meetings for launch teams/workstreams, ensuring thorough documentation of decisions, actions, risks, and issues.
  • Tracking project plans and KPI progress using our Launch Management platform, Ignite, following up through one-on-one or team meetings.
  • Coaching client teams on the effective use of Ignite to ensure successful platform adoption.
  • Maintaining essential launch project documentation, including team charters and RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions).
  • Identifying and flagging overdue actions, bottlenecks, or milestone issues that may affect launch quality or timelines.
  • Providing feedback, information, and status updates to launch and client leads as well as senior management.
  • Supporting launch teams in preparing for readiness reviews.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging the documentation of successes and areas for enhancement throughout and after the launch.
  • Assisting the existing project and account management team with daily client partnership management, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction and business renewal.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical commercialization launch team role at local, regional, or global levels, with a solid understanding of key milestones and deliverables across all essential functions.
  • Experience with launch requirements throughout the pharmaceutical value chain, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, marketing, medical affairs, market access, product supply, commercial excellence, and sales milestones.
  • 5+ years of successful and complex project management experience (project management accreditation such as PMP or PRINCE2 is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical ethics and compliance standards.
  • Degree-level education (a background in life sciences is preferred).
  • Experience in consulting and client-facing roles is desirable but not mandatory.

Personal Attributes and Skills:

  • Critical thinking skills to anticipate challenges and drive successful project outcomes proactively.
  • Strong customer engagement and influencing abilities.
  • Capability to develop and advance project plans in dynamic and often ambiguous environments, demonstrating excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple launches or clients simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and collaborative mindset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to provide honest and constructive feedback in a non-confrontational manner.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain documentation related to project milestones, activities, and KPIs.
  • A strong commitment to quality, ensuring all outputs and deliverables are professional, accurate, and meet the required standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable using collaboration tools such as Zoom/Teams and Ignite (the Launch Management Platform).
  • Proactive in critical thinking and project management.
  • Open to feedback and personal development opportunities.
  • Understanding and embodying the Lumanity purpose to inspire success for our clients.
