Key Responsibilities

In this role as a Senior Youth Support Coordinator at Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, you will work alongside another Senior Youth Support Coordinator to deliver high-quality, effective youth services. Your responsibilities will include providing both individual and group support, offering emotional and practical assistance, disseminating information, and delivering bereavement support. You will advocate for the needs of our young clients and empower them through tailored activities and support services.
Working Hours: This is a part-time role on a job-sharing basis, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, including occasional weekend or evening commitments for youth-related events and activities. Travel may be required within various regions.

Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Youth Support Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis. Our Youth Service provides flexible, specialized programs designed to empower and support young individuals with complex needs.

Required Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or professional qualification in Youth Work
  • Evidence of additional relevant training

Preferred

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development

Relevant Experience

Essential

  • Experience overseeing sessional youth workers and programs
  • Involvement in participative youth work across various environments
  • Proven ability to assess and meet the needs of young individuals effectively
  • Recent successful collaboration experience benefiting young individuals
  • Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle

Preferred

  • Experience working with young individuals with disabilities or healthcare needs
  • Providing training opportunities for others
  • Analyzing data to improve services
  • Direct management experience
