Consultant Psychiatrist

This exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust. As a key member of our Community Mental Health Team, you will have the chance to showcase your clinical expertise and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical input to patients under the care of the Community Mental Health Team, attending CPAs for enhanced patients and providing urgent assessment/advice as required.
- Lead on screening of new referrals to the team, working in a rotational capacity with other Consultants.
- Participate in service and team evaluation, contributing to the planning of future service developments.
- Empower the team to resolve local issues using quality improvement tools and methods, without needing permission.
- Manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
- Participate in service and business planning for the locality and, as appropriate, for the whole mental health service.
- Join the Consultant on-call rota, which is currently 1:30 (non-residential) and is remunerated with a 3% category A supplement and 0.5 PA in addition to 10 PA sessions.

To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
- Be included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months
- Have approved clinician status OR be able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
- Have approved under S12 OR be able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
