Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry to join our team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing medical input to the Older Person's Community Mental Health Team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assessment and treatment services for people over the age of 65.
- Work closely with the secondary older person's team to provide primary and secondary care services in line with the Mental Health Measure.
- Offer consultancy support to the primary care service.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service and business planning activities for the locality and the whole mental health service.
- Participate in annual appraisal for consultants.
- Maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council, Mental Health Act 1983 Section 12(2) approval, and work within the legal framework of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010.
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of completing CCT.
- Approved Clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Welsh AC Approval.
- Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience of teaching medical students.
