We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving growth and new business opportunities within the property surveying and consultancy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Strategic Business Plans: Create and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and expansion within the market.
  • Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and client acquisitions, to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and potential clients, to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Stay Informed on Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure our business remains competitive and compliant.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team: Work closely with our marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and materials to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Support Sales Team: Provide support to our sales team to articulate the value proposition of our services to potential clients and drive sales growth.

  • Manage Outbound Sales: Manage outbound sales efforts to generate leads and close deals across our strategic business units.

  • Present Updates: Present updates to senior management on business development activities and work with service heads to target growth areas to meet sales budgets.
  • Liaise with Customers and Internal Teams: Liaise between customers and internal teams to ensure client requirements are met and account performance is maximized.
  • Stay Updated: Stay updated with internal and external news, developments, and changes to regulations to ensure our business remains competitive and compliant.
  • Develop Business Reporting: Create and develop business reporting on client behavior and lead generation performance to drive business growth and expansion.
Requirements
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record in business development within the construction industry, with a strong understanding of the sector and its trends.
  • Strategic Business Development: Ability to develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive growth and expansion within the market.
  • Negotiation and Relationship-Building Skills: Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of current industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure our business remains competitive and compliant.
  • Marketing Experience: Experience in working with marketing teams to drive sales initiatives and develop targeted campaigns and materials.
