We are seeking a skilled Cost Management Specialist to join our team at Taylor Hopkinson Limited. This role is essential for overseeing and managing project expenditures effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Expenditure Oversight:**
- Monitor and control the total project costs, ensuring all financial transactions such as purchase requisitions, orders, invoices, and claims are accurately verified and recorded.
2. **Collaboration with Teams:**
- Work closely with the commercial and finance departments to support internal reporting processes, including accruals and funding management.
3. **Cost Analysis:**
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the contracts associated with assigned projects to effectively challenge and validate all cost-related details.
4. **Transaction Management:**
- Oversee the accounting, valuation, and documentation processes related to the Offshore Transmission Owner (OFTO) transactions.
5. **Engagement in Meetings:**
- Participate in project meetings and discussions with the Project Management Team (PMT) and external stakeholders.
6. **Additional Duties:**
- Perform other related tasks as required to support the project objectives.
Qualifications:
- A degree in business, finance, commerce, or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience in finance or cost management roles.
- Strong understanding of finance and cost control methodologies, tools, and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, along with other relevant software applications.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Professional certification in accounting and/or quantity surveying is preferred.
- Experience in the construction or manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
