Quality Assurance Lead – Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Lead will manage the
Travel operations team, ensuring compliance with product standards through
thorough inspections and measurement evaluations. You will communicate any necessary
modifications to the production supervisor or culinary team. It is essential to
maintain detailed records of all evaluations conducted, including pertinent details
and metrics such as the daily tally of defective items. Reporting quality
concerns, quantifying defective items, and pinpointing areas for enhancement
are vital components of this position. Furthermore, you will ensure that all production
areas adhere to food safety regulations and that all products satisfy established
quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing
    the Travel operations team from a food safety standpoint
  • Ensuring
    that product specifications are adhered to by conducting visual and
    measurement evaluations
  • Communicating
    any necessary adjustments to the production supervisor/ Head Chef.
  • Keeping
    comprehensive records of the evaluations performed, along with
    relevant supplementary information, and various metrics
    such as the count of defective items produced daily
  • Participating
    in Food Tastings and documenting observations
  • Maintaining
    records of sensory evaluations
  • Tracking
    & reporting quality concerns
  • Detailing
    the number of defective items produced, and outlining where improvements
    can be implemented
  • Developing
    product specifications and nutritional information based on new recipes
    crafted by the development team
  • Ensuring
    Compliance
  • Quality
    control monitoring of production areas, confirming they meet food safety compliance,
    and verifying that all manufactured products or components meet the
    necessary production standards


Required Qualifications:

  • Prior
    experience in a quality assurance or technical lead role within the food
    sector is preferred.
  • Exceptional
    attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to
    perform efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Outstanding
    communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge
    of food safety regulations and compliance standards.
