Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lexington Catering. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Excellence: Ensure that all menu items are prepared to the highest standards, using only the freshest ingredients and adhering to our strict food safety protocols.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior chefs, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties to the best of their ability.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure that our kitchen is always fully stocked.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer complaints and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, reporting any issues to the management team in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Culinary Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of culinary excellence.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of junior chefs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Flexibility: A flexible approach to work, with the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
