About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist school on the outskirts of Frome, providing education for approximately 80 pupils with complex and severe learning needs. The school has a strong focus on individualized learning and offers a wide range of abilities within its pupil population.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children or adults with special needs or mental health difficulties. They will be flexible, positive, calm, patient, and empathic, with the ability to work as part of a skilled, enthusiastic, and hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with complex and severe learning needs in a specialist school setting
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to deliver individualized learning plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of pupil-centered learning plans
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall well-being of the school community
What We Offer

As a Bank Support Staff member, you will have the flexibility to choose your working days between Monday and Friday, term time only. You will also have access to free child protection and prevent duty training, as well as a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
