About the Opportunity

Gleeds is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join our team as an Executive Cost Manager. This role will involve working within a dynamic environment as part of a growing team of cost management professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs and budgets of construction projects, with opportunities to work across multiple sectors, providing a broad range of cost management services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives and driving growth across the organization.
  • Engage with clients and develop, grow, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Deliver high-quality cost management services and ensure that deliverables meet client requirements.
  • Manage projects and deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates and option studies.
  • Conduct cost planning and cost-in-use studies.
  • Advise on and implement procurement strategies.
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage the tender process, including designing tender marking schemes.
  • Evaluate and report on tenders.
  • Value completed work and arrange for payments.
  • Settle final accounts.
  • Administer contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
  • Produce and present reports to clients.
  • Identify new business development opportunities and drive growth across the organization's activities.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Cost Manager who possesses sound cost management experience post MRICS qualification. The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning, as well as good knowledge of construction methods and materials. They will also have working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
