About The Opportunity

Gleeds Corporate Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join our team as an Executive Cost Manager. The role is responsible for managing costs and budgets of construction projects, with opportunities to work across multiple sectors, providing a broad range of cost management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives and driving growth across the organization.
  • Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet clients' requirements.
  • Managing projects to deliver high-quality services and deliverables in accordance with the company's procedures.
  • Cost planning and budgeting for construction projects.
  • Settling final accounts and administering contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer's Agent.
  • Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the organization's activities.
  • Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Cost Manager with a strong background in cost management and a proven track record of delivering high-quality services. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Sound cost management experience post MRICS qualification.
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and planning.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  • Working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
  • Good knowledge and experience of post-contract cost management tasks.
  • Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts.
