Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Aspris Care, a leading provider of therapeutic childcare services. As a key member of our residential team, you will play a vital role in supporting the welfare and well-being of our children and young people.

About the Role:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare practice, underpinned by a Person-Centred Values therapeutic approach. You will work closely with our Registered Home Manager to ensure that a warm, nurturing, and homely environment is delivered, and developed in accordance with our core values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguarding and Welfare: Actively promote the welfare and safety of our children and young people, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Childcare Practice: Provide high-quality childcare practice, adhering to Aspris Care's philosophy and Person-Centred Values therapeutic approach.
  • Team Leadership: Support and lead a team of practitioners, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Environment Development: Contribute to the development of a warm, nurturing, and homely environment, aligned with our core values.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 18 months of experience working in a residential setting, with a proven track record of supporting vulnerable children and young people.
  • Qualifications: Achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent, or working towards.
  • Skills: Ability to interact with a range of people, including children and young people, with confidence and empathy.
  • Leadership: Confidence and ability to lead a team of practitioners, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work a shift pattern, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties on a rota system.
  • Driving License: Full driving license is essential.
