About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Optimization Director to join our team at CoolPlanet. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving our energy management programs and initiatives across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption and minimize carbon footprints using our 'CoolPlanetOS' platform.
  • Engage with clients to gain an understanding of their systems and processes, including SCADA systems, controls systems, and metering systems.
  • Develop and onboard CoolPlanetOS accounts, coordinating with Data Acquisition and Engineering teams to validate data and ensure all important parameters are considered.
  • Deep dive into data to identify and validate opportunities for energy efficiency.
  • Onboard customers on using the platform and perform stakeholder interviews to identify needs and develop appropriate dashboards and reports.
  • Lead the coordination of internal and external SMEs to facilitate optimization of client energy use and process through the adoption of software.
  • Coordinate and chair client reviews at appropriate intervals and manage the implementation of EnMS systems and Success Plans.
  • Expand commercial opportunities through opportunity identification and engagement plans on using the platform and reports leading to professional services, software renewals, and expanding into new sites within the existing customer base.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, such as continuous improvement, process engineering, utility engineering, facility management, energy manager, or customer success.
  • Excellent communication skills and an Engineering Degree equivalent to or above NFQ Level 8.
  • Energy management experience with good knowledge of ISO 50001 fundamentals and strong knowledge of a variety of core energy systems, including refrigeration, boilers, and other thermal systems.
  • Strong statistical analysis knowledge/skills and good documentation & reporting skills.
  • Professional Certifications such as CEM and CMVP would offer a distinct advantage.

Location

Subject to business needs, the location for this role can be based in Ireland, UK, or Central Europe.
