About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Optimization Director to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving our energy management initiatives and ensuring the successful implementation of our energy efficiency strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Energy Management Program Development: Develop and implement comprehensive energy management programs to reduce energy consumption and minimize carbon footprints across various sectors.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with clients to gain a deep understanding of their systems and processes, including SCADA systems, controls systems, and metering systems, to ensure successful onboarding.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify and validate opportunities for energy savings and develop strategies to optimize energy use.
  • Platform Onboarding: Onboard clients on our energy management platform, CoolPlanetOS, and ensure seamless integration with data acquisition and engineering teams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Lead stakeholder interviews to identify needs and develop tailored dashboards and reports to support energy management initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to facilitate the optimization of client energy use and process through the adoption of software.
  • Review and Reporting: Coordinate and chair client reviews at regular intervals to track progress and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Commercial Opportunities: Identify and pursue commercial opportunities for energy management services, software renewals, and expansion into new sites within the existing customer base.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, such as continuous improvement, process engineering, utility engineering, facility management, energy management, or customer success.
  • Excellent Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Education: Hold an engineering degree equivalent to or above NFQ Level 8.
  • Energy Management: Strong knowledge of energy management principles, including ISO 50001 fundamentals.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of various core energy systems, including refrigeration, boilers, and other thermal systems, compressed air, and industrial processing and controls systems.
  • Statistical Analysis: Strong statistical analysis knowledge and skills.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Good documentation and reporting skills.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as CEM and CMVP would be an advantage.
