About the Role

We are excited to present a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, multi-site accounting firm as a Lead Practice Accountant. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the partner, overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients while contributing to the overall management of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Portfolio Management: Take charge of your own portfolio, which includes sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accounts for your client base with precision and attention to detail.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure personal and business tax compliance for your clients.
  • Review Processes: Review bookkeeping, CIS, and VAT returns to maintain accuracy.
  • Client Liaison: Engage with clients, colleagues, and third parties to foster strong relationships.
  • Tax Planning: Provide clients with fundamental tax planning and advisory services.
  • Team Support: Mentor and support a small team in their professional development.
Candidate Requirements
  • You should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a practice environment.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent experience is required.
