Biologics Pathway Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join the inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) team as a Biologics Pathway Coordinator. The successful candidate will have excellent computer, administrative, and communication skills to coordinate and support the prescribing process for long-term biologic or systemic drugs.
The role is part-time, 3 days per week, based in Taunton, and is an integral part of the Gastroenterology service. The Biologics Pathway Coordinator will make a direct and positive contribution to the work of the team and enable tracking, developing, and monitoring the pathways care for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and support the prescribing process for long-term biologic or systemic drugs
- Develop and maintain office systems and procedures to support the smooth running of the department
- Provide excellent communication skills on the telephone, via email, face-to-face, and in written correspondence
- Work with electronic systems to complete tasks
- Monitor and track patient pathways
- Good standard of general education
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally
- Evidence of continuing professional development
