We have roles in different teams including:
- Community based treatment services: providing assessment, coordinating treatment and working partnership to support individuals. The roles include delivering structured psycho-social interventions in group and one to one level to enable our service users to acquire thinking skills and behaviours to make lasting change.
- Homeless outreach provision: Targeting homeless individuals, offering a flexible and outreach response to highly vulnerable individuals sleeping rough or living in temporary accommodation
- Criminal Justice rehabilitation/recovery services: working closely with the Probation Services, Prisons and Police to provide a rapid, tailored response to individuals that support their recovery and rehabilitation
As a Harm Reduction Advanced Practitioner we offer a starting salary of £27,300 rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £31,937 per year. (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).

**Role Responsibility**:
- Carry a designated caseload of service users with complex needs that may include one of the following: mental health, long term conditions, criminal justice, offending behaviour, homelessness, motivational interviewing, safeguarding, family work;
- Conduct assessments of need and risk assessments and formulate risk management plans and recovery plans that recognise the personal recovery goals of the service user;
- Effective partnership working with members of any multi-disciplinary team and other agencies and coordinate multi-agency meetings when appropriate;
- Deliver interventions that are underpinned by a strong evidence base;
- Participate in clinical meetings and complex case meeting and be confident and competent at presenting cases orally and through written reports;
- Support the learning and development of Recovery Workers and Trainee Recovery Workers, providing specialist input into Multi-Disciplinary Meetings;
- Provide supervision, mentoring and coaching to staff to support their development, learning and standards of care;
- Being known as a knowledgeable in a designated specialism within the service (e.g. substance use and mental health, Homelessness/complex needs, domestic abuse, mental capacity);
- Ensuring achievement of key performance indicators relevant to your role;
- Delivering internal learning events and representing Turning Point nationally if required in your specialist area.
You’ll understand alcohol and other substance use issues and the challenges and opportunities for individuals on a recovery journey. You will also have previous experience or knowledge of working in a health and social care setting, as well as an understanding of the importance of partnership working and communication between agencies. Some experience of leading a team, working to deliver targets, and supporting partnership working will be advantageous.
