Field Service Engineer needed. Our client, a prestigious name in the Construction and Industrial machinery sector, is expanding and requires a Field Service Engineer to support their operations. This role involves providing exceptional service within the designated region.

Successful candidates will deliver onsite assistance for a variety of machinery, focusing on maintaining optimal performance through regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections. The primary equipment will include Large Machinery, Shovels, and Excavators.

Field Service Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by customers.
  • Service diverse machinery both onsite and offsite.
  • Work independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Complete job documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Manage paperwork and timesheets efficiently.
  • Request necessary parts in a timely manner.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Oversee Apprentices as needed to ensure quality and safety standards.
  • Adhere to relevant procedures during equipment repairs and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards for personal and work equipment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Uphold health and safety responsibilities in line with company policies.
  • Ensure tools are safe and compliant for use.
Field Service Engineer Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the industry.
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues, including working at heights and under heavy machinery.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Valid Driving Licence.
  • Capability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machinery.
Field Service Engineer Benefits:
  • Hourly Rate: £17-£18 based on experience.
  • Standard working hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime available at 1.5x rate.
  • Holiday Entitlement: 22 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays.
  • Company vehicle, mobile device, uniform, and laptop provided.
  • Death in Service benefit: 3 times annual salary.
