Position Overview

Science Education Support Specialist

A distinguished Secondary School is seeking to conduct interviews for Science Education Support Specialists who can effectively assist students in Science subjects across various year groups. This role is an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain valuable experience in the educational sector.

Initially available as a one-year contract, this position serves as an ideal platform for aspiring Science Educators. It is particularly suited for graduates in Science who wish to apply their knowledge in a meaningful way and contribute positively to their community.

We encourage applications from Science Graduates who are passionate about teaching and possess a 2:1 or higher degree in Science from a reputable UK University. Candidates specializing in Chemistry, Physics, or Biology are all welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in Years 7-11 during Science lessons
  • Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions
  • Facilitate small group intervention sessions
  • Assist students in preparing for their GCSE examinations

We are looking for confident, motivated, and enthusiastic Science Graduates to take on the role of Education Support Specialist. The students at this institution are known for their good behavior and dedication to their studies, maintaining high standards and engagement in their educational journey.

As the new Science Education Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to manage your own classroom, providing tutoring to small groups of students identified as needing extra assistance. You will also play a role in supporting students during their in-class activities.

This position is an excellent fit for a Science Graduate considering a future in Science Education, offering substantial school experience prior to pursuing Teacher Training.
