About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry, you will play a key role in providing clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of individuals with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to patients with complex mental health needs
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver effective and efficient services
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in forensic psychiatry
Requirements
  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council
  • Approved Clinician status at the point of taking up post
  • MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register as a Forensic Psychiatrist or within 12 months of CCT at time of interview
  • Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983
