Role and Department

We are looking to appoint a Grade 6 Research Assistant for a funded initiative focused on the utilization of baby carriers and slings within the UK. Responsibilities will include:
  • Designing and executing a systematic review of existing research.
  • Creating and administering online surveys targeting families and practitioners.
  • Critically assessing current guidelines and providing actionable recommendations.
The successful candidate will be integrated into the Durham Infancy & Sleep Centre, collaborating with a distinguished research team dedicated to impactful projects related to infant sleep and the prevention of unexpected infant fatalities.

The Centre serves as a hub for researchers investigating various dimensions of infant and child sleep, as well as parenting practices. Our work has significantly enhanced parental understanding of infant sleep patterns and safety measures.
