As a Supply Chain Coordinator at our Stafford location, you will be responsible for planning and executing feasible production schedules that enable the organization to meet customer demands in line with contractual commitments.

This position requires you to have resided in the UK for the past five years and to obtain security clearance without any restrictions that would hinder your ability to perform the role. If clearance is not obtained or is granted with limitations that affect your role, any conditional offer may be rescinded. The process for obtaining SC security clearance can be extensive, and we reserve the right to withdraw any conditional offer if the necessary clearance is not achieved within a specified timeframe.

This role is site-based and necessitates full attendance on-site.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Participating in Master Production Schedule meetings to develop a feasible production plan that aligns with customer requirements while considering resource and technical constraints.
  • Collaborating with the production Team Leader to adjust production plans to meet customer needs.
  • Regularly reviewing production plans to ensure progress aligns with expectations.
  • Reporting to the Sales & Operational Planning Manager when production plans cannot be fulfilled, particularly if customer service may be compromised during the MPS weekly meeting.
  • Engaging with commercial departments to communicate any issues impacting customer delivery.
  • Utilizing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to make Availability to Promise (ATP) commitments, enabling sales orders to be processed, generating production orders, and managing them in accordance with DE&S Deca procedures and timelines.
  • Using ERP to facilitate the planning aspect of item creation by establishing new task routings, forecasting, adjusting or eliminating surplus orders, ensuring no overdue orders exist, and maintaining the connection between forecasts and actual orders through proper processes.
  • Keeping a record of instances where production services have been halted or limited.
  • Consistently contributing to the enhancement of team standards, considering best practices and efficiency.
  • Maintaining and pursuing your personal development plan.
  • Providing ad hoc support and assistance to the line manager as required.
  • Complying with Health and Safety regulations through safe working practices and Risk Assessments.
  • Adhering to all relevant business processes.
  • Generating and maintaining Business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and On Time in Full (OTIF) reports on a weekly/monthly basis, and if necessary, demonstrating compliance to any relevant auditor.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in your application, you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:

  • Proficiency in Excel for reporting purposes.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software systems, such as Baan.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of technical, equipment, and spare parts issues related to production challenges.
