Job Summary- Lead Logistics UK's road freight policy theme, developing strategies to achieve the organization's goals.
- Enhance the regional program of English Freight Councils, ensuring high member engagement and participation.
- Build knowledge across all policy areas, monitoring emerging topics and educating colleagues on key issues.
- Develop policy proposals to influence government and stakeholders, shaping the future of logistics in the UK.
- Engage with decision-makers and support regional policy development, ensuring a strong voice for Logistics UK.
- Produce policy reports and materials for various audiences, including members, stakeholders, and the wider public.
- Deliver presentations for stakeholders and events, effectively communicating Logistics UK's position and vision.
- Inform members of policy changes impacting their businesses, providing timely and relevant updates.
- Manage media and public affairs plans on policy topics, ensuring a proactive and responsive approach.
- Supervise policy managers and advisors, providing guidance and support to ensure successful outcomes.
- Collaborate to achieve business objectives, working closely with colleagues and partners to drive results.
- Create policy positions and campaigns, driving forward Logistics UK's agenda.
- Provide expert policy support, helping members and stakeholders navigate complex issues.
- Act as Secretary to councils and working groups, ensuring effective administration and communication.
- Coach and develop team members, helping them to grow and succeed in their roles.
- Manage Budget effectively, ensuring responsible financial management and planning.

Requirements
- Degree level education or equivalent, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
- Represent organization externally, building relationships and partnerships to drive results.
- Contribute to wider organizational objectives, working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.
- Understanding of public policy development, with experience in relevant areas an advantage.
