About the Role
The Nigel Wright Group is seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for leading the Procurement Team and overseeing operational, day-to-day, and strategic procurement activity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Procurement Team, ensuring effective leadership and guidance
- Develop and drive the Organization's Procurement Strategy in line with wider organizational strategies
- Manage a broad, varied portfolio of procurement spend across goods and services
- Lead procurement activity on major strategic projects
- Foster collaborative partnerships with key multifunctional stakeholders internally
- Support and educate stakeholders, providing high-level guidance and advice on procurement best practice
- Manage and maintain associated registers and systems, identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies
About You
The successful candidate will have/be:
- An experienced MCIPS procurement professional with a proven track record in developing and implementing Procurement strategy
- Broad procurement background gained from within regulated public/utilities sector essential
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships swiftly and with ease
- Well-rounded communication and networking skills, engaging, proactive, and confident to act as the Procurement figurehead
- Supportive mentor and team leader, flexible and agile, capable of operating at a hands-on and strategic level
