Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Modern Workplace Technology function as a Configuration Management Director. This role is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and operational support for our Virtual Desktop & Virtual Application capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the Modern Workplace Technology function, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians to design, build, and maintain our Virtual Desktop & Virtual Application infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other business systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Manage the development, delivery, and continual improvement of our Azure Virtual Desktop personal and multi-session products.
  • Ensure the Azure Virtual Desktop offerings meet the experience, performance, security, and scalability needs of the organization.
  • Champion a DevOps/SRE approach, engineering products, and driving an automation-first agenda, embracing Infrastructure as Code principles to achieve consistent delivery.
  • Ensure the delivery organization is properly resourced with appropriate planning for growth and all the delivery teams have been trained in appropriate methodologies and understand their role.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in infrastructure engineering and operations of M365, device management, and virtualization technology, including Azure Virtual Desktops and Azure Infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, including Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and Configuration as Code.
  • Good understanding of networking, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
