The Sheffield College is seeking a skilled and experienced Communication Support Worker to join our team. As a Communication Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to hearing impaired students across all curriculum areas and campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide translation in British Sign Language, Sign Supported English, and take written notes in the classroom or online and in workshops.
- Support students to achieve their goals and participate in departmental and cross-college events.
- Record session activity on college systems and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
- GCSE English Language and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or other Level 2 equivalent.
- British Sign Language Level 3 or above.
- Qualification or experience in Notetaking.
- Experience of working in Further Education across a range of subject areas.
