Position Overview:

The University of Manchester is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Teaching and Learning Manager within the School of Medical Sciences (SMS). This pivotal position is part of the Teaching, Learning and Student Experience (TLSE) team, which is committed to delivering exceptional support services to students enrolled in both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of five functional teams: Curriculum & Programmes, Assessment & Progression, Clinical Delivery, Accreditation, and Community Placements.
  • Collaborate with another Teaching and Learning Manager to drive innovative initiatives and projects within the educational environment.
  • Manage the administrative operations, personnel, budgets, and resources of the Teaching & Learning team, ensuring compliance with University, Faculty, and School policies.
  • Work proactively to develop and implement new systems and methodologies within the programs.
  • Design and execute effective teaching and learning strategies in partnership with senior academic and professional services colleagues.
  • Facilitate cross-organizational collaboration to promote a high-quality, student-centered service.
