Challenging Behaviour Educational Support Specialist

Are you a seasoned and proficient Residential Support or Youth Worker? Have you engaged with children facing social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges? Are you equipped to assist children in managing and regulating their challenging behaviours?

Are you seeking a new opportunity that offers a more favorable work/life balance?

Would you like to take on a position where you can continue to make a significant impact, utilizing your expertise in behaviour management, emotional, and pastoral support, but with shorter shifts and no overnight responsibilities?

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will work within educational settings to support children with SEMH needs who exhibit challenging behaviours. Your responsibilities will encompass both teaching assistance and pastoral support.

You will be tasked with aiding the classroom teacher to facilitate effective teaching, ensuring that the children under your care remain focused, manage their behaviours, and engage positively with their peers and educators.

Qualifications
  • Experience working with young individuals with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other disabilities and needs.
  • Ability to promote emotional regulation and support pupils with SEMH needs to thrive.
