Position Overview

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Youth Engagement Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing essential support to young individuals within the community, particularly those facing challenges related to mental health and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor attendance and communicate with guardians regarding any absences.
  • Engage in community support activities tailored to the needs of young people.
  • Collaborate with social services and other relevant organizations to ensure comprehensive support for the youth.
  • Utilize effective behavior management techniques and de-escalation strategies to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Refer to the Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP) for each young person to guide support efforts.

Requirements
  • Possession of an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate, registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Ability to provide two professional references related to child care.
  • A valid, clean UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle, with readiness to obtain business insurance.

Contract Details

This is a temporary to permanent position focused on outreach work within the community, aimed at making a significant impact on the lives of young individuals.
