About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team at Choice Support. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to individuals, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal hygiene, and meal preparation.
  • Support individuals to develop independent living skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and managing finances.
  • Encourage and support individuals to engage in community activities, such as walking, swimming, or going to the gym.
  • Work collaboratively with the individual's circle of support to plan and implement their care and support plan.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
  • Full UK driving licence (as the service has its own vehicles).
