Job Title: Business Development Manager Hotel

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at The Relais Retreats | Boutique Hotels. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new business and revenue growth across our portfolio of boutique hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive new business and revenue growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, agencies, and event planners
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities and identify target organizations and key decision-makers
  • Work closely with the Group Director of Sales and Sales & Event Executives to target periods of risk and achieve revenue targets
  • Support the effective management and build of the database of corporate bookers, travel managers, and event agencies
  • Maintain regular contact with key existing clients, agencies, and prospects to ensure positive working relationships and account development
  • Support the Group Director of Sales to attend and represent The Relais Retreats properties at industry events, exhibitions, and agency events
  • Arrange and host regular FAM trips, conducting site inspections and virtual tours to support the conversion of new business
  • Identify and secure appointments with key event agencies
  • Report on the effectiveness of sales activities and new business, with a drive for consistent improvement and data-driven decision-making

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the hospitality sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Well-presented with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Positive and proactive approach
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a wider team
