Housing Income Maximisation and Admin Manager
Post Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manager to support our teams in delivering a high-quality customer-focused front line service. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a sound grasp of financial best practice, and a proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a demanding front line service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead 3 deputy managers in delivering administrative services and maximising income through effective debt advice and collection.
• Ensure prompt payment of invoices and collection of all temporary accommodation charges.
• Provide high-quality debt management and benefit advice to homeless households.
• Hold public events to give advice and reduce temporary accommodation use.
• Liaise with external and internal agencies to prevent homelessness and ensure income maximisation.
• Manage budgets and administer financial administration of incentives scheme in accordance with processes and audit guidelines.
Requirements:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Understanding of financial functions and duties of a housing department.
• Excellent understanding of welfare benefits and debt management within a homeless environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with voluntary agencies and teams to ensure maximum collection.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred advice to homeless households.
