We are currently seeking a Grants Operations Coordinator to enhance our operational capabilities and support our mission through the establishment of effective processes and systems that facilitate our transparent and equitable grant-making practices. This role is crucial in ensuring that successful applicants are equipped to implement high-quality, impactful initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the seamless operation of our grant-making processes throughout the entire lifecycle, including financial management, application procedures, and monitoring systems.
  • Coordinate internal audit activities and assist with external audits related to funding.
  • Implement grant-making policies in accordance with best governance practices.
  • Manage the complete grant-making lifecycle, from pre-application to assessment, decision-making, grant management, and learning, ensuring that the needs of young people and their supporting organizations are prioritized.
  • Support the Finance & Operations team in tracking and monitoring grant expenditures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing and enhancing grant management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor grants effectively to assess value for money and performance.
  • Experience in establishing and managing complex processes, budgets, cash flow, and performance indicators, with the capability to implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prior experience in facilitating both internal and external audits.
  • Understanding of the challenges faced by young people, employment dynamics, the non-profit sector, and relevant government policies.
